In any given workday, you will be given the responsibility to innovate and create an impact on our business.Job Description:As a key member of the Schedule and Integration Group in FCE, this Senior role will be accountable for the integrity and management of the project schedules at each of our sites. The role will require personal integrity to lead the Intel site schedule teams to higher performance with clear expectations. Coach and mentor the Intel schedulers and hold the General Contractors schedule teams accountable to quality schedules. Strong negotiating and Influencing skills are required when dealing with General Contractors and Intel Stakeholders.The position reports to the Central Schedule and Integration Manager and in this role, the person will be accountable for all aspects of the leadership and management of the project schedules team which includes people management, supplier management, day to day operations, major project scope, schedule performance, and budget monitoring and controls for Intel construction projects without impact to factory operations. This role is expected to support breakthroughs in our construction capability through sourcing and developing contractor companies and influencing significant changes in integrated construction solutions and major changes in our cost of construction. The Chief Scheduler will need to use schedule analytics to see 'connections' in the planning phase before they happen and work collaboratively to find solutions.But the magic won't stop there! We need a go-getter that will then drive those solutions to closure by executing with a sense of urgency and holding teams accountable to ensure promises made are promises kept. With an eye towards Intel's best interests, we are looking for someone who is diplomatic, customer-oriented, and has an ability to influence highly matrixed teams with seemingly conflicting needs.Responsibilities:Partner successfully with key stakeholders including Factory staff, Logic Technology Development, Portland Technology Development, Facility owners, Global Supply Management, Central Design and site Construction, and Suppliers.With responsibility for project schedule integrity in locations in the US, Israel, and Ireland, define the scope, means, and methods and build the skills of the organization across the enterprise. Establish, train, and verify adherence to schedule management, contractual and industry standards as well as project performance to schedule.Work directly with the Intel schedulers and schedulers from the various general contractors and design-build teams to monitor schedule risk, ensure good practice is employed and be able to offer schedule recovery optionsEnsure that the site and project schedule integration process has successfully defined integration touch-points between projects.Ensure that weekly or bi-weekly schedules published by the constructor are verified as true and accurate and escalated any assertions for correction if needed and in particular, identifying risk and potential claim situations and ensuring such risks or claim situations are documented and correctly mitigated or avoided.Ensure schedule published to comply with contractual requirements and industry-standard quality norms e.g. coding and details as required by contract, schedule logic is complete with proper use of lags and constraints, etc.Monitor float to program needs, review leading indicators such as Float Trend, Performance against Schedule, Starts and Finishes Curves, physical progress using the measured mile approach.Ensure project milestone documents are current and that contracted milestones are updated when necessary due to program changes.Summarize weekly the status of in-flight projects giving data-driven assessments and perspective.The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:Excellent communication skills including the ability to manage discussions with exec management, drilling down to details and managing an effort "hands-on" if the need arises to drive necessary decision making.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's engineering degree in Architecture, Construction Management or closely related field. 9+ years of experience (for Bachelor's) or 6+years of experience (for Master's) in: Leading and managing large construction projects including design management, engineering, and construction management. Primavera P6 usage on large complex or highly integrated projects, Project Schedule quality analysis, Integration with electronic commissioning tools such as Latista or VEO, Integration of Last Planner applications, schedule analytics and reporting using Power BI, Excel Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Fab Base-build/Tool Install construction preferred Inside this Business Group
